Overview

Its pitch is model freedom: an Auto mode picks a model strategy by cost tier, and you can route through Kilo's gateway to hundreds of hosted models at the providers' own rates, plug in your own API keys, or keep everything local with tools like Ollama. The core agent is MIT-licensed and free for individuals. Teams adds shared agents, usage analytics and central billing per user, while Kilo Pass is an optional monthly credit subscription that grants bonus credits for steady users. Limitation: the free tool still needs paid or local inference to do anything useful, and cloud compute is charged separately from tokens. As with any agent, run tests and review diffs before merging.

Key features

Limitations

The agent is free, but AI inference and cloud compute are billed separately. Team features need the per-user Teams plan.
